Soul Peaceful: Gratitude

Matthew 5:9 says "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God."

Relationships are beautiful, yet tough to maneuver through sometimes. Whether it's romantic, familial, social, spiritual, occupational, or my all-time favorite, a personal relationship with self - any good relationship will require patience, prayer, communication, and grace in order to be healthy. Throw in a little sacrifice and compassion for good measure!

However, I recently noticed a shift in one of my relationships.

I wasn't happy, I was going through the motions.
I wasn't grateful, I was stressed about a situation that I didn't & still don't have the answer to.

Here's what I did to practice gratefulness:



"Gratitude builds us up for life's inevitable ups and downs. As we practice gratitude, we become more optimistic, think more creatively, and have more loving, joyful relationships. Simply put, gratitude means happiness. And happy people have been shown to live longer, healthier lives, and are more resilient to stress and depression. By practicing gratitude we are investing in a richer, more rewarding life."
